On behalf of The South African Wakeboard Association, we have great pleasure in announcing the First Annual West Coast Wakeskate Jam in Collaboration with MB Sports Southern Africa and hosted by the Bon Esperanza Ski Club, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa in March 2011.

This event will be the first ever wakeskate only boat, rail and jetski competition; it will welcome all riders with the highlight being the Open Men division. In addition to the standard boat portion of the competition, there will also be a free-ride jetski competition and a rail jam, which will be held under floodlights in the evening. At the end of the weekend one rider will also be awarded a prize for “Best Trick” which can be from any event and any division.

The site is very well know in the South African water skiing community and was the first man-made water ski lake in South Africa. It is a perfect venue for both spectators and riders alike being completely protected from the prevailing South Easter.
